Rembrandt\'s Wife - Dying

This drawing was made in 1642. Well this drawing was pretty touching to me. I mean this lady is this artist wife and for him to draw her must of been super hard. In this drawing you can see the pain and how the pain is draining her the energy and literally the life out of her.

Charitable Samaritan (also known as The Good Samaritan)

This painting was made in 1638. Painting is oil on canvas. Well this painting when i saw it reminded me of my childhood sunday school class. This story taught me to kind and loving to anyone from any other race, social status or anything. I mean look at the guy on top of the horse wow he look tore up and like if he is in need a doctor. Then the good samaritian at the top of the stairs paying the inn keeper. Now that good samaritain looks very wealthy, now if people could be like that man this world would a better place.

Apostle Paul

This painting was made in 1635. Painting is oil on canvas. Well i enjoy this painting alot because the man that it's about is one of my heros. This man went through it all persecution, jail time, hunger, torture. He was a amazing follower of the Christ. He stood firm in his beliefs and in his God and my God. His face looks like he is weary and tired, but his eyes wow to me they say he aint going down easily and that no one can tie him down.

Christ in Storm

This painting was in 1633. Painting is oil on board. I love this painting to me its inspiring. Me as a person of faith yeah I do believe in Chirst. This painting reminds me everyday that no matter what Im going through I have someone who will be by my sad. This story goes that Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and the storm to cease and it did. The disciples said to one another "who is this man, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" let me tell ya that man is Jesus. Never could of made me without him. AMEN!!!!!!!

Jesus and the Smaritan Woman; an Arched Print

Drawing made in 1658. In this one let me clear it Jesus wasn't maccin on this lady. the Story goes like well the samaritans and the jews didnt get along. One day Jesus was just chillin at a well and this lady comes to draw water from a well, since there was not indoor plumbing back then. Jesus was like hey let me get some thirsty and she was like whoa i dont know you and plus your Jewish. Then Jesus was like so only if you knew who was asking for water. He said i can give you living waters where you will never thirst again and she thought he was talking about water water but he was talking about spritiual water (joy, love. peace, eternal life etc.) Plus she was thinking he was lying that he was the son of God but he told her all of her past and everything plus her secrets she thought she was hiding. But then he told her and she was like DANG!!! he is Jesus and he loved her and forgave her. So in this one i like it because we can see the love Jesus had for everyone that needed help no matter what their background was. this story is found in John 4:1-42 in the Bible.

Rembrandt van Rijn-Jesus healing the Sick

This is a drawing made in 1649. Well in this one we can see a gentle side of Jesus. Not like in the pervious post where he laying the smack down, but in this one he healing the sick and caring for them. If we all could live like Jesus did, being less selfish and more compassionate wow this would be a little slice of heaven here on earth.

Rembrant Van Rijn-Jesus Driving out the Money Changers

Well ive been raised in charge all my life, and ive been taught that church is a sacred place of worship. But in this drawing it kind of reminded me of how my dad would bet me when i acted up in church. Wow Jesus in this drawing was laying a holy amck down on these people and i dont blame him. I mean how would or do you feel when some one comes to your house and acts stupid at your place you know you be thinking of doing what Jesus did here. I just love this drawing not only because its "nice" but it reminds me to respect the house of the Lord. This is a drawing and was made in 1635.
